Speaking Energetically

History

Cherokee Energy Management was founded in 2006 in Virginia Beach, VA, with the vision of being a small, expertly staffed, niche-oriented company.   We have evolved as a service-disabled Veteran owned company helping large energy users such as government, business and education reduce their energy costs and carbon footprint. This vision has only sharpened over the years.

Today, we are assisted by ever more effective technologies and a backlog of experience that allows us to meet the growing demand for energy efficiency with programs customized to the particular needs of our clients. No broad-brush analyses, no out-of-the-box solutions—only close listening, careful analysis, and data-driven recommendations to achieve measurable gains in energy efficiency in a broad range of settings—on both land and sea.

As shipboard energy managers we have the capacity to work on both in-port and at-sea energy operations.  Serving US Naval vessels as they become the Great Green Fleet is a task that we take to heart.   As a former shipboard engineer and Navy Nuclear Power School Graduate our co-founder Mr. Marshall, understands the needs of the Navy and brings a cutting-edge approach to shipboard energy management.
